Mercsenger Bits 2

The mercs are constantly fighting over and stealing each other’s food the way groups of people tend to do, but there are two people whose shit you don’t touch. One being Pyro, for obvious reasons, the other being Messenger. She doesn’t get mad or violent, but she does know how to (sort of play) the recorder and be dramatic so you’d have to deal with this for at least the next 24 hours:

Don’t eat her gummy bears, binch. She was looking forward to those.

Sometimes things change without being any different. Barbara Jared had passed by the Reliable Excavation Demolition base dozens of times, occasionally having to stealth in along with The Courier to drop off supplies. But she’d never taken the front entrance. She’d never stood awkwardly, all her gear and necessary belongings in a duffel bag strapped to her back while being introduced and officially added to the mercenary roster and respawn list. Thank God for Pauling. At least for a few minutes she had a friendly face setting shit up before she was left to be a supreme disappointment to a bunch of other murderers. Cooing from the covered cage in her hands distracts Barbara for a moment and she leans toward it in a soft sort of whispered babytalk.

“Yeah, it’s a new place beeb. I bet it smells funky, huh? You’ll be out soon I promise.”

Important Mercsenger Fact

When squeezed, dropped from a height, or punched/hit with a blunt object Messenger makes a soft squeaky toy noise. Not with her mouth or vocal chords: I mean her body literally squeaks. Try and guess who’s responsible. I dare you.

She would have preferred a brain in her knee.
